Info For Cruise Ship Passengers
Some cruise ships dock, some use tenders. If you tender it means you have to get on a smaller boat to get ashore in Philipsburg, capital of the Dutch side. If you wish to dive with us, you need to get in one of the first tenders to leave the ship, then ask one of the taxi cabs (they will be waiting) to drive you to KIM SHA beach (local name for "our" beach), where the shop and the boat are. This will cost about $12.00 for 2 persons. If there are several divers, the taxi will charge $5 or $6 per person. The ride takes about 20 minutes.
Simpson Bay beach has a lot to offer non divers as well (lounges, pool, restaurants, watersports) so don't be afraid to bring your party along, but not on the boat. As we are sure you can understand, we only take SCUBA divers.
You have to be at the shop at 8.30am. We leave at 8.45 am. It's a 2 tank dive and returns around 12:30pm, which leaves you plenty of time to get back to the ship.
Usually, your original taxi will pick you up if you ask them, or we can call one for you when we come back from the dive.
